Why You Should Read This:
Ianto is tortured for the express purpose of hurting Jack, and his recovery depends on Jack finding the poisonous half-human who hurt him, which Ianto is determined to prevent, in order to protect Jack.
As “Ianto doesn’t believe Jack loves him” stories go, a genre I am not very fond of, this one is actually quite good. There is some not too twee introspection, all within reasonable canon limits. There are bad guys. There is the stubborn determination that is the fundamental characteristic of Ianto.
It’s not, as my Mom likes to say War and Peace, but it is fun. In fact the only complaint I have is people who think a small, grey font on a dark blue background is a good idea. I transferred it to Word.
