Why You Should Read This: It’s no surprise that I’m a lover of AU stories. This one is an AU of Grimm, where Nick is Nick, but Monroe is a Lieutenant with the Portland Fire Department. Nick meets Monroe as they’re putting out a fire in a case that turns out to be a serial arsonist.
The boys grow together in this, and are both very fun and playful, but at the same time, serious about finding out who the serial arsonist and murderer is. And even though the author is unknown due to them orphaning their AO3 account, it’s clear that this person has a complete handle on both Nick and Monroe’s characters.
