Why you should read this? Dean enters into a long term contract with a man that wants a companion willing to be a submissive. Dean has done the submissive role before and under the right situations enjoys it. However he carries the scars both emotional and physical from a previous situation that make him nervous about getting in too deep. He is also having to deal with the issues of having an emotionally absent and alcoholic father and a brother that doesn’t seem to appreciate, at least a first, everything that Dean does for him.
Written from Dean POV it is a profoundly gentle type of D/s that throws Dean off balance at first as he expects harsh treatment from his client. Castiel is experienced in being a Dominant and takes control of him in ways he doesn’t expect or realize that he wants. Dean hides the reality of this new job from everyone in his life and the strain of trying to keep his two worlds separate it is handled well, even as they slowly begin to intertwine. I really enjoyed this story and the end is quite satisfying
