There was a mention in the comments on the “Rough Trade” site that Sentinels/Guides were essentially ‘the little black dress’ of fandom. You could dress it up, dress it down and you could take it anywhere.
Damned if they weren’t right.
This is a fusion where Stiles is an unbonded Sentinel and Derek is his Guide, and Derek fights it every step of the way. There’s a mystery to solve before the requisite happy ending but the story is well done and blends Sentinel and Teen Wolf backstories nicely.
It’s funny that you recced this today, I just finished reading all the stories by this author on AO3 today and I would recommend all of them. 🙂
