Why You Should Read This:

Disclaimer: I’m friends with Neevebrody. But this is such an amazing piece (I’m surprised it hasn’t been rec’d here before) that I have to make sure that everyone in SGA fandom reads it, if you have not already. And if you’re not in SGA fandom, read it anyway. You don’t need to know a lot about SGA to appreciate the story.

As the story open, Rodney has died after a long life, married to Jennifer Keller. There were kids and soccer games, scientific discoveries, militarization of Atlantis, declassification and jogging. But Rodney does not live life as the rest of us, something John comes to find out.

The fic is really gen but the angst is so tangible, you can cut it with a knife.

Oh. Don’t forget that hankie. Maybe two.
