Title: The Crown of the Summer Court
Word Count: 24,773 words
Genre: Romance, Humour, Adventure
“The king sent me to get you,” Merlin said, with a tone that implied strongly that he wasn’t rolling his eyes where Arthur could see, but just wait until his back was turned. “He said you’re to get changed into formal clothes and meet him in the Great Hall, there’s a delegation coming from the Summer Court.”
Why You Should Read This:
The writing is fantastic (as are all of Astolat’s works) and the characterisations are superb. I love Arthur and the trouble he gets into when trying to protect Merlin. And then Merlin has to save his ass. It’s a funny, intriguing read that will suck you in and not release you until your finished.
This is one of my all time favorite Merlin stories. And the audio book version is not to be missed.
I loved this story. Everyone was well characterized (given the premise,) and I was quite proud of Arthur, too.
