Why You Should Read This: This fic is hysterical. The team forms an alliance with a civilization where the men carry the children, and they want to know when John is going to get Rodney pregnant. Cue Rodney lying in an over-the-top manner about how often John “floods him with his seed” in an effort to get him with child, with John at first mortified and then somehow caught up in it all. There’s more to it than that, and there are kids eventually – but no mpreg involving any Atlantis personnel, and the fic is really about John and Rodney. I dare you to read this and not smile, at the very least.
“I didn’t actually do it,” John revised.
“Oh good,” Sam said, mouth twitching. “I’d hate to have to write a report detailing—the way it was detailed to me—how you fulfilled your duty as a leader of your people to give Rodney rivers of your essence.”
