Why You Should Read This: Senik (Spock’s younger cousin) is a cool mini Vulcan who starts a scientific data gathering program to find Spock a mate. Through trail and error Senik finds his feet in learning everything humanity has to offer with the reluctant help of Kirk. It is comedy gold when Senik and James interact. This fic is well-written and genuinely remembers that its lead character is a child. The characters seem like themselves, and the relationship that forms between Jim and Spock is believable and wonderful. This is only part one of the series.
