Why You Should Read This: Though Sports Night ran for only 2 seasons (1998-2000), it was one of those shows that had an epic impact on television, launching Aaron Sorkin’s career in TV. Punk & Sab actually capture the same pace and banter that Sorkin managed in the show, which makes this a completely fun read. Dan & Casey are on an airplane when Casey – who is bored – comes up with some realizations, but Dan – who is reading a stripped junk novel stolen from Natalie – makes him slow down – because in the end, it’ll be worth it.
Also, Sports Night fen produced some incredible fic, which has been somewhat forgotten as fans have moved on. Reading Dan/Casey is like snuggling up in a nice, warm blanket.
