Why You Should Read This:

This is a story about soldiers and loss and coming home to find you haven’t and you never can. It’s also about watching someone you care about going through it.

I love Tony in this.  His sense of panic at realizing that Steve is in serious trouble is so well written that you feel as desperate as he does.  What I like is that he applies his intelligence to every conversation, working out what Steve needs, which is mostly someone who will listen and not try to fix.   Sam Storyteller (aka Copperbadge) cannot be beat for thoughtful stories like this.
