Where do I start? Okay:
1. It is beautifully written. No. I mean BEAUTIFULLY written. The writer has a genuine talent.
2. It has some of the best characterizations of Tony and Gibbs I’ve ever seen. In this story, Tony has had occasional sex with other men but Gibbs never has and he is, at first, completely baffled by his desire for Tony. Tony, on the other hand, has never let himself love and be loved before. They both have a lot to learn.
3. It is some of the hottest sex I’ve ever read.
The whole thing has a level of intensity that left me nearly breathless as times. And I am not just talking about the sex, which is… holy shit! Reading this left me as near as I have ever come (no pun intended–well maybe a little intended) to an orgasm while sitting still in a chair and just reading. Seriously.
In addition to all that, it is one of the sweetest love stories I’ve ever read.
