Why You Should Read This: I’m new to the due South fandom, and just finished Season 01, which of course is still Fraser & Vecchio (and look forward to future seasons, which I hear is even slashier and more fun!). Last night I was looking for something a little schmoopy, and this totally fit the bill. It is quite possibly some of the most adorable writing I’ve ever had the pleasure to read; you just can’t help but smile while you read it. In a nutshell, it’s the holiday season, and while Fraser is driving Ray absolutely crazy with the touching, it’s Fraser who finally uses the classic “Yawn, stretch, and pull you into my arms” maneuver, which is just adorable.
Thank you for recommending a wonderful Fraser/RayV story. Because of comments like the one you mentioned – the seasons after RayV are “slashier and more fun” – the RayV seasons and RayV himself have, sadly, been neglected by much of the fandom. The dedicated F/V writers, like this great author, left years ago, and there’s a lot less diversity in pairings than there was just six or seven years ago. I wish this was a way to have F/V fic more noticed again.
