Why You Should Read This:
I adore older Stiles who is truly BAMF!Stiles.
Stiles and his dad are in the wrong place at the right time. The Sheriff is fighting for his relationship with his son and they’re on a father-son bus trip when everything goes FUBAR.
It’s interested to see the Sheriff see Stiles in a new light. Stiles ability to be calm, confident, prepared, and helping others is totally unexpected and dad can’t help be proud of his son in the end.
Of course, there are werewolves in the mix… I particularly liked this piece:
Getting people out of a burning bus, keeping people together in a bad situation, shielding people from humans of a criminal persuasion – all of that, he’s willing to concede, are things people like his dad are better trained, better prepared to do.
But protecting people from werewolves, from other deadly things right out of legend and superstition – that’s Stiles’ job.
The story rocks back and forth between past and present but it’s not confusing, it’s the backstory you need to understand why they’re here in this moment.
