Summary:
When the wife of a star politician in the Scottish Ministry turns up dead just outside Hogsmeade, Draco Malfoy and his murder investigation team are called in from the Edinburgh Auror force to find her killer. What DCI Malfoy doesn’t expect, however, is to have an ex from two decades past end up in his murder room, endangering not only his case, but also his heart.
Why You Should Read This:
I love that this is mainly from Draco Malfoy’s point of view and his struggle with the past and the present. Having established himself as a DCI through many year of struggle in the aftermath of the war with Voldemort, Malfoy is pretty pissed that he has Potter turning up to supervise his investigation. The author’s accurate description of Edinburgh adds to the world building and reminds me of Ian Rankin’s murder novels. A good novel to curl up with a cuppa and escape in.
