Summary: Jordan Parrish is the new sheriff of Beacon Hills, a town haunted by its past.

Why You Should Read This:

This is a beautifully written story that starts when we learn that John Stillinski has left Beacon Hills because Stiles has been missing for a couple of years. Jordan Parrish is the temporary sheriff until an election can be held.

One rainy night, Stiles appears at his old home, that Jordan now owns, and hands Jordan a toddler named Ryan Hale before going back into the darkness.

The story goes back and forth in time — but it’s not confusing — between ‘before’ and ‘now’ – what happened to Stiles, how he went missing, and what Jordan – and John — is now doing to try to find him.

Help comes from an unexpected quarter, the options are not simple, and hope is a fickle thing. But family is the most important thing in the end.
